Realizarán un nuevo sorteo público de 6.500 personas para integrar los Juicios por Jurados
El 22 de junio a las 10, en la sede del Instituto de Ayuda Financiera y Acción Social (IAFAS), se llevará a cabo el sorteo público de 6.500 ciudadanos que integren el padrón electoral vigente y que cumplan con los requisitos establecidos en la Ley 10.746 de Juicio por Jurados, discriminados por jurisdicción y por sexo (mitad mujeres y mitad hombres). El objeto es confeccionar el listado definitivo de potenciales jurados en los juicios penales que se realizarán a partir del 1 de febrero del 2023 en Entre Ríos.
Este sorteo se transmitirá por el canal de YouTube del Servicio de Información y Comunicación del Superior Tribunal de Justicia de Entre Ríos, tal como se hizo en la primera oportunidad, el 17 de junio de 2020.
Con las personas que resulten sorteadas, se conformará un padrón por jurisdicción, del cual, en cada oportunidad, se seleccionarán de manera aleatoria los jurados que serán convocados para intervenir en los casos de delitos que prevén condenas de 20 años ó más.
Las personas seleccionadas serán contactadas por autoridades judiciales. Es importante destacar que ese rol es una carga pública.
Acerca de la ley
La ley 10746 que norma el funcionamiento del Juicio por Jurados fue promulgada el 7 de noviembre de 2019 dando cumplimiento así a lo dispuesto en tal sentido por la Constitución nacional y provincial.
La norma modificó la manera de realizar los juicios frente a los delitos graves. Por esta herramienta se habilitó la participación ciudadana en la administración de la Justicia Penal en la provincia.

El 11 de noviembre de 2020 se realizó el primer juicio por jurados. Hasta la fecha (30/5) se han realizado en Entre Ríos 20 juicios por jurados.
Sólo en dos de ellos, uno realizado en Gualeguaychú y otro en Concordia, el jurado no logró un veredicto unánime. Y tal como lo prevé la ley, en cada caso el juez técnico declaró el estancamiento de esos juicios, lo que motivará nuevos debates, con otros jurados y diferentes magistrados.
