Al respecto, el vocal y coordinador del Área de Desarrollo de CAFESG, Eduardo Asueta, sostuvo que “hay un vacío importante sobre esta problemática en la sociedad, y entendemos que el sistema educativo debe ir poco a poco construyendo capacidades para tener un abordaje actualizado y eficiente para prevenir adicciones; hoy no lo tiene, y por ello estamos interviniendo con un sentido estratégico, para comenzar a construir capacidades en ese sentido”.
Por su parte, Andrea Popelka, coordinadora del Programa informó que “cada vez que visitamos las escuelas de la ciudad nos encontramos con un panorama más o menos parecido, los directivos tienen pocas herramientas para resolver situaciones problemáticas relacionadas con las adicciones, el grupo docente tampoco tiene herramientas para abordar el asunto, a pesar de ser una de las problemáticas más importantes que aquejan a la juventud de esta época, y por otro lado los alumnos que si bien conviven rodeados de adicciones, no han debatido, y no se han formado ideas propias en torno a estas problemáticas”.
Por último, Federico Müller, uno de los capacitadores del Programa relató que lo que se busca es “abrir debates en los chicos y desarrollar actividades que les permitan pensar esta problemática como tal, porque hay todo un marketing seductor de las sustancias adictivas que se puede
deconstruir y generar una forma diferente de verlas y entenderlas, en ese sentido procuramos que los chicos se tornen en protagonistas de esa
búsqueda”.
