ANMAT aprobó la vacuna de Pfizer para niños de entre 5 y 11 años
La Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica (Anmat) aprobó la vacuna contra el coronavirus del laboratorio Pfizer para su aplicación en niños de entre 5 y 11 años, informó la ministra de Salud de la Nación, Carla Vizzotti, y precisó que es probable que en los próximos días haya novedades sobre su distribución.
En una resolución publicada por el organismo el pasado 13 de enero, se autorizó el uso de la vacuna «Comirnaty/Vacuna BNT162b2» de «nueva concentración y fórmula, contenido por envase primario y envase secundario, período de vida útil y forma de conservación, para la indicación de franja etaria de niños entre 5 a 11 años de edad».
Asimismo, la disposición cuyo número de referencia es 1-47-2002-000812-21-2, sostiene que se aceptan «los textos de rótulo, prospectos e información para el paciente», presentados por la empresa para pedir la autorización del medicamento.
Actualmente, los niños de entre 3 y 11 años que concurren a los centros de vacunación de nuestro país reciben la inoculación con la vacuna Sinopharm.
El pasado 7 de enero, el presidente de la Sociedad Argentina de Pediatría (SAP), Pablo Moreno, advirtió que «solamente el 41% de los chicos» de 3 a 11 años tiene aplicada la segunda dosis contra el coronavirus, por lo que pidió completar los esquemas de vacunación en niños, niñas y adolescentes para «salir de la pandemia».
Moreno sostuvo que, en base a los últimos datos que publicó el Ministerio de Salud de la Nación, en Argentina «en la franja etaria de 3 a 11 años solamente el 41% de los chicos tiene aplicada la segunda dosis y hay un 64% con la primera dosis», publicó El Once.
