El porcentaje de hogares por debajo de la línea de pobreza (LP) alcanzó durante el último semestre del 2022 al 29,6%. En ellos reside el 39,2% de las personas, informó el Indec. Dentro de este conjunto se distingue un 6,2% de hogares por debajo de la línea de indigencia (LI), que incluyen al 8,1% de las personas. Esto implica que para el universo de los 31 aglomerados urbanos de la EPH (encuesta permanente de hogares), por debajo de la línea de pobraza se encuentran 2.928.152 hogares, que incluyen a 11.465.599 personas. Dentro de ese conjunto, 614.043 hogares se encuentran por debajo de la línea de indigencia, lo que representa 2.356.435 personas indigentes.
Con respecto al primer semestre de 2022, la incidencia de la pobreza registró un aumento de 1,9 puntos porcentuales en los hogares y de 2,7 en las personas. En el caso de la indigencia, mostró una reducción de 0,6 p.p. en los hogares y de 0,7 p.p. en las personas.
Dado que la incidencia de la pobreza y la indigencia resultan de la capacidad de los hogares de acceder a la canasta básica alimentaria (CBA) y a la canasta básica total (CBT) mediante sus ingresos monetarios, se observó que, con respecto al semestre anterior en promedio, el ingreso total familiar aumentó 37,3% mientras que las canastas regionales promedio aumentaron 43,5% (CBA) y 44,4% (CBT).
Esto significa que los ingresos en el período estudiado aumentaron a un nivel inferior tanto de la CBA como de la CBT.
